Sierra Oaks is scheduled to roll out site testing using Binaxnow antigen tests around October 11th. We will have an on-site team trained on how to administer the tests and will offer on-site testing at least once per week. These will be self-swab test kits using the nasal swab (vs. the deeper back of the nose swabs for other tests).
Testing is voluntary.
If a student refuses testing they will be referred to a healthcare provider. Tuesday mornings will be the recurring test day. There may be instances in which tests can be done on Mondays for concerns from the weekend, and there may be the opportunity to accommodate testing needs on a daily basis. When testing is conducted, the student’s name will be searched in the database from preregistration. The test will be given and the results will be entered. The person tested will be notified by email.
