There are many opportunities to volunteer at Sierra Oaks and the next big event, the 18th Annual Auction needs you!  On Saturday, March 11, 2017, Sierra Oaks supporters will gather at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex for dinner, live auction and dancing- all the benefit Sierra Oaks K-8 school.  There is a planning meeting on Thursday, January 12th at 8am in the MP room.  There will continue to be meetings every Thursday at 8am until the event.  Please plan to stay for 30 minutes after drop off and see where your talents, time and energy can help with this event!

Attend  the monthly PTA meetings- there are always opportunities to volunteer during the year.  For the 2016-17 school year they will be held on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm in the school library.  EVERYONE is welcome to attend but only paid members of the PTA will be allowed to vote on issues during the meeting.  For only $10 per family for the school year- consider joining today!

Making contact with your child’s teacher directly is always a great way to find out what his or her needs are for the school year.  Volunteering to photocopy during the day or driving/chaperone a field trip is always helpful.  Field trip volunteers must have fingerprints on file at the San Juan Unified School district (done one time) and drivers must complete auto insurance paperwork in the school office (up dated each school year).  Plan ahead now if you would like to volunteer during this school year.
